Bumkin

Teeth

The other tooth broke through on bottom and Grady was definately cruising last night. He is really blowing us away.
He crawls over to cabinets when we blink and when we look again he is standing up, hand on a knob, openning the doors. Ahhh! last I looked he was 7 months old. No wonder I can't get anything done. I've also been peed on three times this morning... but thats not a bad thing. Our EC is actually getting better. We are catching alot of potty stuff too. Comming soon - pictures of Grady in cute EC outfits.

Travelling Times

During our visit to Maryland we caught up with a cool mamma, Rebecca and her daughter Sabina. Sabina loved climbing the stairs - and Grady watched since we don't have stairs in our house. That was Saturday.
On Sunday he went to them and started crawling up. Goes to show all we ever have to do is sleep on it! Saint Patrick's Day it seemed everything was green thanks to Grandma's new rugs.

I have been making our bread since I'm home all day. Now I have figured out how to include Grady in the process. There is a video of us making bread on Youtube too. You might also want to know that we are finally feeling some teeth in those gums! You can't really see them yet but they broke through the gums over the weekend, yea! Let's also celebrate his seven month birthday which happened this last Friday. Wow! And... and he is doing a true crawl.
We noticed last week he is pulling his knees up under him and doing a "real" crawl, no more worm.
I also want to thank everyone for clicking on the ads and checking them out. Maybe in another 12 months I'll get paid for blogging, hehehe :-)

Elimination Communication

I'm still trying to practice EC (Elimination Communication) and it is such a challenge let me tell you. However I look at it this way, I can pay attention now and continue with what I've started or I can quit, really confuse G and try again in two years when it will inevitably be MUCH harder. G is in undies - so please don't ask or tell me I'm crazy when we have visits. It is a labor of love for us, and G hates diapers anyway.
If you want to know more about it... check out my links (The Potty Whisperer is a good place to start). I have to say the whole topic of diapers and diaper free is another natural progression for any crunchy momma to explore - it might as well be in the 'Granola Momma Handbook'. Maybe I should write the handbook eh? Anyway if you want an interesting read try "Diaper Free" by Ingrid Bauer.

A Story

Words Words Words...
So here is a little update. Two nights ago we had a wonderful time in the evening sitting on the couch with G and Ginger. It was so neat to see him leaning back in the cup of my arm, absentmindly petting Ginger and kinda watching TV. We went for the Camera but the picture just didn't come out.
Then Yesterday we got off to a crazy start. G started crying during his first diaper change of the day so Daddy Mark picked him up to console him before dashing off to work (he was already running late). I tried to slip a Cloth Diaper between them just in case but it must have slipped. G let it go - and Mark had to change his shirt before he could run out the door. Soon after G fell asleep. When he woke up a few hours later I put him into the living room to have some fun. I blinked (I swear) and G was in the Kitchen turning over the dogs water bowl. !!!
I should have been prepared then when, while I was on the phone in the afternoon G did another new trick. He crawled (I still mean worming, not a true crawl) over to the coffee table and sat himself up. 'Cool' I thought, but then he reached for the coffee table and stood himself up!

Wow - this growing up is happening so fast - he is barely six months old right?
