A Birth!

Welcome Earthside to CBird, after 42 weeks and four days... and a lot of pineapple!
Just few pictures of our hospital VBAC and GMan meeting his sister!

Check out the amazing Grin on the face of my amazing Midwife in Disguise Angela! As a side note for those who may remember the signifigance of this, our assigned nurse had a beautiful Arabic name, and has a huge passion in life for wildlife and wildlife recue, especially sea turtles, a sea turtle nests! and wore a glass sea turtle around her neck. You just can't make this stuff up!

"Cora Coralynn,
Cora where you been,
you took such a long time to get here
I don't know why you waited,
but here you are,
as bright as a star,
my beautiful Coralynn!" -Mark (to bicycle built for two)

New Life

Here G is running and enjoying the fountains along the river at Riverfront Park, a bit of a "secret" hot spot in town.

Mark meets his beautiful Granddaughter El, Nates new daughter.

A mommy wish list-All things are going well with the pregnancy. Baby is head down, my blood pressure is great and we are at 35 weeks nearly. The nesting thing is kicking in, and I suppose I'm geeting a bit anxious to get everything ready because practice contractions are comming on more frequently and in greater varieties. My Chiropractor tells me that he has a great track record with fast labors for the pregnant women in his care, including his wife.

All this has me wondering if I feel at all ready for this big event to happen. Mentally I've done a lot of work, and we have the dresser stocked up with cuteness (thanks already to Lindsey). However there are a few things still missing.

G petting and Alligator at the Aquarium.

Mark mentioned he wanted to learn crochet... so we set him up and he put a row in on baby's blanket.

Gymboree

G is very happy with Gymboree classes. He hasn't specifically made any new buddies but I definately saw two different little girls take to him this last class. I can see how his enthusiasum is a bit absorbing... even other mothers watch him and smile. Oh, the things to come...
G really seems to want a hula hoop... and kept trying it out with this green ring.

Dive right in... Jump off, over, run... bounce, throw yourself down..... you get the idea. Oh, and sing "twinkle twinkle" better than any other kid. Bragging? Maybe...

Making Adjustment

Hello! We have continued to chip away at our house projects and by shear luck I have aquired a really great new dresser for G. I happened to see the craiglist post first... saw the piece first... and snatched it up. Pictures to come I think. From the moment I agreed to the purchase G has talked about his new white furniture. I called someone on the cell phone shortly after we left the ladies home and he was saying "Mom tell them about my new, my new, my new white, my new white furniture, my my my dresser!"

Now his old dresser, with a changing table on top is freed up for the little tiny summer dresses I just picked up at Once Upon A Child.

G has tons of energy these days. He's full of conversation, ideas, imaginary ball games we must play, and opinions. He runs up at random grabs my stomach and says thing like "I love sister" and "put your head down sister"(my request), and "shes kicking shes kicking (whether she is or not).

Tonight G had a ton of extra energy so I pulled my new trick out of my hat... "hey get the Yoga cards and have your daddy help you". A deck of ilustrated yoga positions that definately did the trick for G's Daddy. I feel really good about it because it is another sign we haven't turned our TV on all DAY!

I try to be anti-TV and I've had my moments... but we have cable and I get really tired. My most recent cure for TV use has come in the form of the DRAG ME TO HELL trailers that network after network has shown... even twice in one commercial break while our whole family was watching the Stanley Cup finals. Enough already, ya know. Mark and I just looked at eachother one night... and that was it. Maybe I can get us out from under the cable bill for a while. The only bright spot is the public TV, full of educatonal kids shows until 5pm or so... this does come in handy when I have been laid up with contractions or back pain.G with Mark, and Me with a 31 week belly heading to another new restaurant.

Don't slap a cactus

G has now learned that getting splinters of glass in your foot is a lot like slapping a cactus. Oh the information available to us in a weeks time.

No really, he slapped a cactus 'cause I told him not to, a prickly pear.

Road Trip and Announcements

Pictures from March trip, 4 weeks in MD and PA While we were between homes in the south.

Pony lessons with Mady. G got to ride Annie and later Kala. He loved it and I often suggest he remember the details of being with a horse as a way to relax and fall asleep.

Pictures, long time comming. We finaly got the camera downloaded on to disks... and the photos go all the way back to November. So give me a few days and I will slowly innundate you with pictures.

Also, we had ultrasound today. We both couldn't close our eyes when he said he was going to determine gender... and we were pretty sure we knew what he saw but I kept asking, "so that notation says what I think it says, ummm... how accurate are these predictions anyway?". He said "start buying pink stuff". Wow... feels weird cheating on your own principles like that, but I glad to be affirmed in what Mark and I were both pretty sure of. We figure we are going to keep the name, when we figure that out, a secret until the birthday.

Moving and Shifting

So much to say... G and I have been on the road a week now. Sorry still no pictures, I'm still taking them.

Our house is under contract, we are working through the usual little details. G had a fine week playing with Isa, Odin, Chloe, Ta-ran and TyTy.

OH and I can't forget to mention that this last Saturday While Mark and I went looking at houses, G hung out at Eric's house for 7 hours. I was so amazed and so sad and it was really weird. That is the longest I've ever been away from him! And to top it off he was totally fine, barely said hello when we returned. He was pretty relieved that he didn't have to go look at more "stinky" houses.

About a hour after we had come back G quietly said to me from across the kitchen, mom I'm glad you are back.
:-)

Also The baby has started kicking and moving pretty regularly which is a little weird but cool. SO MUCH going on... I'm showing a bit now instead of just looking fat.

Changes!!!

We are expecting!
We are renovating!
We are moving!

Our good computer blew up... never did load those videos.

G is on the verge of mastering potty and blowing his nose. And as he puts it he is moving to Charelston. I'll try to keep taking pictures but I have no idea when we will be able to post them. Probably more I wanted to say but I have to go get the house into museum order. Weird having a sale sign in the front yard with a picture of your kitchen on a flyer.
