Birthdays 2013

GMan and CBird had their Duel Birthday Pool Party recently. Princess Minecraft! I dressed up the pinata to have two different designs, one on each side.

Because of the gray weather we all had the pool to ourselves. A great                                    mix of family and friends.

C-Bird's First Birthday Party

All mommy's favorite colors in one bundle of ribbons, fabulous! And it matched the plates!
Our Favorite MD and Friend came by and wish our girl a Happy happy. Singing over the cake almost became too much but mommy reassured the quickly proud Cora.
All the hard work to prepare the food was sooo well worth it. We got to enjoy the leftovers.
Was really wonderful to have so many come and see us on this special day, including our Good Friends from Savannah Carmen, Scott, Isa and Maya
Cora partied so hard and would not take a nap, or be nursed to sleep at all, but dang it the cheesey puffs finally did the trick.

Here is GMan enjoying Ami's Birthday Party at Gymboree before it had even started. He was running and running and he turns purple just like his mom.
Miss CBird tried her first bite of apple recently and found it to be yummy. However I gave her a taste of Peas last night and she threw up (yuk!). I think I will go back to steering clear of baby food for now, except for the occasional apple in the Munchie, for teething soothing.
Here is Jim, the kids second cousin once removed, Gabriel. Cute watching him hold CBird like she would either shatter or burst into flames. Jim was great with both though, very cool with GMan.

Here is my "traditional" Sally Falon carrot cake for G. Last year (if you go look) the one was spelled with pecans. This year I used carrots for the two and trim. Next year I'm thinking raisins. Everybody fit in our kitchen for the Happy Cake song.

Number One

GMan was born by c-section.

He was 3 weeks overdue (according to us, but who knows what schedule he was really on). He resisted primrose oil, rasberry leaf tea, sex, castor oil, long walks, membranes sweeps, pitocin, and membrane rupture... all of which were meant to entice him from an overly comfortable stay in utero.
